FILMS IN PRGRESS 5
Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Toulouse
Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia – San Sebastián

FILMS IN PROGRESS 5 will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 25th and 26th 2004 at the Cervantes Institute in Toulouse, as part of the XVI Recontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine.

The goal of this joint initiative of Recontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Toulouse and the Donostia-San Sebastián International Film Festival is to help independent Latin American film projects overcome the hurdles of post-production. This year 42 films coming from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Uruguay have been submitted.

The following titles make up the programme for Film in Progress 5:

  • Alma mater, by Alvaro Buela (Uruguay)
  • Iluminados por el fuego, by Tristán Bauer (Argentina)
  • Parapalos, by Ana Poliak (Argentina)
  • Próxima salida, by Nicolás Tuozzo (Argentina)
  • Fugaz, by Víctor Dinenzón (Argentina) (new version)
  • Suspiros del corazón, by Enrique Gabriel (Spain-Argentina) (first complete cut)

Screenings are exclusively reserved for producers, distributors, technical industries, TV channels, festivals, organizations and companies related to the different stages of the cinematographic process whom, as a whole, can play a decisive part in helping these projects to reach the general public.

The next FILMS IN PROGRESS will take place during the 52nd Donostia–San Sebastián International Film Festival on 21 and 22 September.
