A DAY OF BASQUE FILMS

Organised by IBAIA (Association of Independent Audiovisual Production
Companies of the Basque Country) and EITB.
With the collaboration of the BASQUE GOVERNMENT, the BASQUE FILM ARCHIVE, DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIAN FILM COMMISSION and BERRIA.

The screening of eight feature films and a like number of short films, plus an audiovisual project from the Basque Film Archive Collection, in addition to the presentation of AMA LUR, IBAIA and BERRIA awards at the event organised every year in the Principe cinemas, will round off the programme of A Day of Basque Films held as part of the Donostia-San Sebastian International Film Festival.

This Day, organized by IBAIA and EITB in collaboration with the Basque Government’s Department of Culture, the Basque Film Archive, Donostia-San Sebastian Film Commission and BERRIA, every year presents, promotes and screens the latest productions in the Basque audiovisual world and has become a motive for a meeting between professionals from the field.

  • Basque Cinema AMA LUR Award to: Luis de Pablo
  • IBAIA Award to the most risky production of the year to: ALICIA PRODUCE for the film “The Basque game, skin against the stone”
  • BERRIA Award to the best short film in basque.
