Films in Progress 10 will take place at the 54th San
Sebastian International Film Festival on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday
27th September 2006.
This rendezvous, organised jointly with the Rencontres Cinémas
d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse (France), is intended
to help finished feature films experiencing post-production
problems and facilitate their subsequent release on the cinema
circuit.
A series of Latin American and Spanish films at the provisional
stage, jointly selected by both festivals, will be presented
exclusively to professionals – producers, distributors
and exhibitors, sales companies, TV networks, technical industries,
aid funds, institutions and festivals – capable of taking
decisive decisions to help them reach the audience.
The following awards will be presented at Films in Progress
10:
- Films in Progress Industries Award. The companies Estudios
Exa, Mediapro, Molinare Madrid,
Technicolor Entertainment Services Spain, Kodak (Professional
Film Department), Titra Film and No Problem Sonido will jointly
assume the post-production of a selected film.
- Casa de América Aid to Post-Production Award carrying
9,000 euros gross.
- CICAE (International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas)
Award.
The deadline for receiving projects is 30th June 2006.
Projects can be sent to the San Sebastian International Film
Festival from now until the given date.
