PRESENTATION OF THE 55th FESTIVAL

Today, 7th September, the San Sebastian International Film Festival announced the names of the members of the different juries, the recipients of the Donostia Award, which the Festival has honour in presenting this year to Richard Gere and Liv Ullmann, and the latest titles selected. In addition, it was confirmed that, among others, actors Viggo Mortensen and Demi Moore will attend the event to present their latest works at the Festival opening and closing galas:Eastern Promises and Flawless, respectively.

Paul Auster will chair an Official Jury made up of the members Pernilla August, Nicoletta Braschi, Bahman Ghobadi, Eduardo Noriega, Susú Pecoraro and Peter

The Altadis-New Directors Award Jury members will be Mark Peploe (Chair), Jannike Ahlund, Carmen Castillo, Espido Freire, Jean-Claude Lamy, Dennis Lim and Pablo Malo, whereas the Horizontes Award Jury  will be made up of the members Karl Baumgartner,  Ingrid Rubio and Iván Trujillo. Alfonso Cuarón will chair the International Film School Meeting Jury.

Richard Gere and Liv Ullmann will receive the Donostia Award

The Donostia Award will be presented on 23rd and 28th September to Richard Gere and Liv Ullmann, whose names are therefore added to the list of prestigious actors to have received this award.
