USER t38, the film design and post-production agency, will exclusively present, at the coming San Sebastian Festival 2014, the designs created for the latest movie by Gabe Ibáñez, Autómata, to be screened in competition as part of the Official Selection.
On September 19, 20 and 21, the exhibition: “AUTOMATA: Design and life of a domestic robot by USER T38” will be open to the public in the Espacio Keler, Paseo Ramón María Lili 2, from 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00.
Thanks to this exhibition, visitors can discover the design, matured during almost four years, for the feature film starring Antonio Banderas, including the pre-production, production and post-production stages. A window open to the creative process for a science fiction project, from the first sketches of the robots, passing through the conceptual art for the different sets, to creation of the credits and the international poster.
The exhibition will be officially opened on Saturday, September 21, at 13:00 in San Sebastián’s Espacio Keler, with the participation of designers Raúl Monge, Carlos Salgado and Álex Serna, who have created designs for hugely important films including El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan’s Laberynth), Agora, Mama and Pacific Rim. Also in attendance will be two of the robots starring in the movie, and we will discover the secrets of their movements live.
