Lola loves weddings, even if her own marriage is on the verge of breakdown and she suspects that Jorge, her husband, has fallen in love with Yasmina. Yasmina is desperate to marry Javi, a local cop who prefers to do things in his own time. Alfredo doesn’t believe in marriage, but would be willing to take the plunge for friendship or money. Un novio para Yasmina is a summer fable about convenience marriages, social commitment and life as a couple.

She wrote and directed the short films and documentaries Ni allá en la popa, caramba, ni en Trinidad; La cigüeña, for which she won the Extremadura Award for Creation in 2002; and La Batalla de Badajoz, winner of an Award from the RTVE Advisory Committee in Extremadura in 2004. Un novio para Yasmina, her first feature film as a director, landed three awards at Malaga Festival 2008; Silver Biznaga for Best Film, Best Actress (María Luisa Borruel) and the Audience Award.
