Star chef Alexandre Vauclair doesn’t get on with the new management of the company that owns his restaurant, who prefer to go for new molecular cuisine. Vauclair is frantic and at a loss for ideas for the new menu that the food critics will be judging for the Guide. Alexandre needs inspiration and a new assistant. Just then he meets Jacky, a lover of haute cuisine, self-taught, obstinate and hugely talented.
Born in Djerba (Tunisia), he studied at the Charles Dullin Theatre School, and later at the Higher School of Audiovisual Production. He has acted in and directed some 30 plays. In 1998, he wrote, directed and starred in his first feature, Une vie de prince. In 2003, he wrote and directed the play Préliminaires, at the same time acting in various films. In 2007, he wrote and directed his second film, Les deux mondes, in which he once again appears. His acting roles include Coco (2009), Tout ce qui brille (2010) and Kill Me Please (2010), added to which he put the voice to the rabbi in Le Chat du rabbin (2011).
