23 February 1981. At last Antonio and Mercedes have achieved their dream of visiting Venice; they are blissfully unaware of the situation as they enjoy their romantic break on the Italian canals. But their bubble bursts immediately they set foot on Spanish ground and learn that a group of Civil Guards, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Tejero, have taken the Congress.
 

Studied Image at the Faculty of Information Sciences in Madrid and, in 1983, founded the production company Hiparco. Much of his experience has developed as a producer of fiction series, and his career includes some of the most popular series in recent decades: Los ladrones van a la oficina, El súper and Querido maestro, on which he coincided with Imanol Arias. In 2000, in order to permit the idea of Cuéntame cómo pasó, he founded the Grupo Ganga alongside Miguel Ángel Bernardeau, with whom he shared the position of director on all episodes from the beginning of the series.
