This
is an informative section which offers a complete overview of newly released films,
since it selects some of the best films already to have been presented at other
international festivals, within the section named, henceforth, Festivals' Top,
interesting works by new film-makers and some of the latest works by members of
the official jury.
One of the characteristics of this section
is its freedom. It is free to show films of different formats, lengths, styles
and genres; free to show the most avante garde cinema in every sense of the expression
and to give the most lively and critical audience the chance to share and interact
directly with directors. Its informal atmosphere and the direct contact between
the public and the people responsible for the films presented attract the attention
of the Festival's younger audiences together with the most rigorous critics.
