VELODROME
The Anoeta Velodrome, with its enormous 400 m2 screen and seating for 3,000,
offers the public the chance of some real emotion and extravaganza. As
well as the eagerly awaited marathon session on the last night of the Festival
at which the closing films in the Official Section and Zabaltegi will be screened,
this year on the giant screen in the Velodrome in Anoeta there will be three special
showings: Apocalypse Now Redux, the new version of the classic film
by Francis Ford Coppola that is included in the "It happened yesterday"
retrospective. Y tu mamá también, the ironic film by Alfonso
Cuarón that will be closing the Made in Spanish section. Moulin Rouge,
the spectacular musical by Baz Luhrman starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. On
the other hand, the Velodrome will be offering its huge stage to children in the
traditional "Cinema in style for the kids" sessions that this year are
putting on the entertaining Chicken Run.
