An adaptation of the novel by Vargas Llosa. The actions transpires in the Luna Military academy. A group of new students must put up with the humiliating treatment given them by the veterans. Friendships are made and the leaders of the new class are established. In a strange accident one of the student dies. The accusation lodged by a fellow student and the honest attitude of a strict liutenant, provoke a series of events which reach the point of nearly destroying the school's serious image.
