Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
A showcase of the year’s Spanish movies already premiered in Spain to which the Festival offers an excellent platform for their international launch, and titles as yet unreleased in Spain destined to circumvent the usual channels in their own fashion.
The big winner at the Goya Awards, box-office hits, the promising debut from young directors, films to have participated in international festivals and minority proposals, with particular accent on non fiction cinema, highlight the diversity and vitality of the Spanish cinema proposed by Made in Spain. This San Sebastian Festival section brings a showcase of the Spanish movies of the year, with 19 films, some of which have yet to enjoy their Spanish premiere.
