Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Charlène Favier (Lyon, France) founded the company Charlie Bus Production at the age of 24. Trained in acting at the Jacques Lecoq school, in directing at Studio Astoria in New York and in screenwriting at La Fémis, she has written, directed and produced several short films and documentaries broadcast on French television. A committed filmmaker, she shoots stories rooted in reality, exploring power relations, intimacy, and resilience.
Her first feature film, Slalom, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2020 and won the Ornano-Valenti Prize in Deauville and numerous international awards before being nominated for the César and Lumière awards for Best First Film. She then directed La fille qu'on appelle (2023) for the television channel ARTE, which was followed by Oxana (2025), shot with Ukrainian actresses and sold in several European countries.
