Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Line Langebek is a Danish-born screenwriter living in London. She is the co-writer of the feature film The Girl with the Needle (Magnus von Horn, 2024), which premiered in the Official Competition at the Cannes Festival in 2024 and was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best International Film. The feature bagged eleven Eagles at the Polish Film Awards, including Best Screenplay, and the Story Award 2025 at the éStoria Festival (Italy).
Her other credits include the feature film I’ll Come Running (Spencer Parsons, 2008), Duam Drïte: We Want Light (Vincent Hazard, 2011), for French television, the episode Sink or Swim (Luke Snellin, 2013) for Channel 4, the short film Field Study (Eva Weber, 2014) and the animation series Royals Next Door (2021).
In 2015, she co-founded Raising Films, whose mission is to support greater diversity in the UK film and TV industry. She is an active member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and, as part of the Dissonant Futures Collective, has worked on an Arts Council England-funded project on the subject of climate grief. She is currently working on film commissions in the UK and Denmark.
