The cinema we didn’t see in the last decade

There are still counterrevolutionary bands that try to maintain a focus of terror on the population and restore contact with the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States. One morning is the body of the administrator, Alberto Delgado, in the Maisinicú estate. Research reveals an intense and violent atmosphere, and a contradictory personality. BIOGRAPHY

MANUEL PÉREZ PAREDES

Manuel Pérez (Havana, 1939) is a Cuban director and screenwriter. He was one of the founders of ICAIC in 1959. He was an assistant to Cesare Zavattini in the screenplay for the film El joven rebelde and producer of fiction documentaries and short films in the 1960s. In 1973 he made his first fiction feature, El hombre de Maisinicú, which was followed by Río Negro (1977) screened at the last edition of the San Sebastián Festival.
