Granada, 1539, there lives a humble-looking man named Juan Ciudad, who at the same time tries to denounce social inequalities, has been taken for a madman and confined in a hospital. When finishing his confinement, he travels all over Granada with the task of helping the humble more. However, his effort and generosity provokes envy, seeing in that man a mass agitator. But thanks to his works, Juan Ciudad ends up being San Juan de Dios.
