The SGAE Foundation and the San Sebastian Festival have created the SGAE Award for Best Original Music, which will recognise the score of one of the films in competition in the Festival’s Official Selection. The award, which will become part of the San Sebastián Festival’s Official Awards, will be decided by a jury made up of three renowned professionals in the field of music creation.
This award will recognise “the excellence of a original music composition and its artistic contribution to the cinematographic work as a whole” and will be presented at the Festival’s closing gala. This accolade marks a further step in the close relationship of collaboration and support that the SGAE Foundation has maintained with the San Sebastian Festival for more than three decades.
