The film relates in cinematographic form the problem of the third sex, its justification and existence in the real sorroundings of society itself. Two parallel worlds are shown: one, the hard, professional life of some artists who try to put on a music-hall show. The other world is independent but shows us what was the life of a hasbeen, an old man who in his time was an artist. To compare one time with another is the intention of the film and definitely its theme. To make the theme mean more, a character played by Alfredo Amestoy explains this world and its reality, he defends its existence and wants to make the audience inderstand.
