BIOGRAPHY

FERNANDO E. SOLANAS / OCTAVIO GETINO

Fernando E. Solanas was born in 1936. He studied law, theater and music, debuting cinematographically in 1962 with the short film Seguir caminar. Member of the Cine Liberación group, he has lived for a year in France where he teaches at an Institute dependent on the Sorbonne. Apart from numerous short films, several of them advertising, he has directed the feature film Los hijos de Fierro.

Octavio Getino, Spanish writer born in 1935, emigrated to Argentina in 1952. He also belongs to the Cine Liberación group and directed in 1965 the short film Trasmallos. Currently residing in Peru.
