Paris in the thirties. Emma is a beautiful and ambitious woman who runs a bank, seeking the support of small investors. She loves life, luxury, love and power. She is madly in love with a young MP. Yet the way she runs her business opposes her to traditional bankers and makes her stand as an enemy of established values. Yet there are revengeful judges and unscrupulous jounalists.
