Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
This film, shot in the midst of the civil war, tells the story of the inhabitants of a Castilian village who want fairer wages. While they are denied even the most basic necessities, the rich locals live in abundance and despise the poor. The struggle undertaken by the peasants is not tolerated by the local bosses, and a massacre ensues. The final sequences were destroyed during the war, so the film is incomplete, but its content is clear enough to be understood.
