During the performance of Delibes' play Cinco horas con Mario (Five Hours with Mario), actress Lola Herrera suffers an identity crisis. In her desire to find herself, she seeks the apparent solutions offered by her social environment. She confronts her ex-husband, talks to her children and struggles to discover the keys to her past life.
