Synopsis

Based on Marcel Proust's well-known work In Search of Lost Time, Eine liebe von Swann (Swann in Love) recounts the love affairs of the Jew Charles Swann, elegant, aristocratic, educated, refined who feels a great passion and desire for life. voluptuous worldly woman Odette Crécy. She is she cheats on him and loves him at the same time.

The action takes place in twenty-four hours and has an epilogue in which Swann, already an old man, reflects on the lost years of his life loving a woman he didn't like and didn't even belong to his social class.

A series of itineraries follow one another, a dinner at the Verdurin house, a reception at the house of the Dukes of Guermantes, and an evening in the baron de Charlus's salons, through which Swann stages moments of his life and of some Past memories that built without any future.

Eine liebe von Swann (Swann in Love) is about the story of a disease called love. Swann's reflection emerges slowly, almost without force in a sad and disillusioned monologue. "When I think that I have wasted years of my life, that I wanted to die, that I have lived the greatest passion for a woman that I did not like in any way... that was not my gender."
