Synopsis
In 1926, in a small Columbian mountain village, a young doctor operates a blind man for cataracts. It is the first operation of this kind to have been carried out in the country, and gives Bernabé, the old man who supplies water to the village, his sight back after fifty years of blindness. The film, which is based on a true story, tells Bernabé's incredible tale, his experiences and difficulties on recovering his sight.
