JOSE LUIS SAENZ DE HEREDIA
Synopsis
This is the story of a family of military sailors from 1897, just before the Cuban War, until 1939, the year in which the Spanish Civil War came to an end with victory for the Franco regime. The members of the family are all made out to be exemplary, including their most distantly related ancestors, one of whom even participated in the Battle of Trafalgar. The exception is one of the sons from the latest generation, who has socialist ideas and goes over to the Republicans when war breaks out, a black sheep who finally returns to the fold.
