Synopsis
The action takes place in Madrid, shortly after the outbreak of civil war. Luisa and Miguel are in love, but the fighting has put them on opposing sides. She is a Falangist and helps the Franco followers who have been taken prisoner, while he is a Communist and fights in defence of the Republic. When Luisa is arrested and executed, Miguel reacts strongly and stands up to his companions, which leads to him being shot to death by those who had been his comrades.
