Madly in love with the actress Yvonne Orlac, famous Doctor Gogol is fraught with jealousy at the thought of her happy marriage to a pianist. Desperate when her husband loses his hands in a train accident, the young wife turns to the doctor for help. Obsessed with the girl, the doctor accepts, but fiendishly gives him the hands of a dead criminal. A great success, the operation has terrible after effects.
