The death of Leon Trosky was the mision of his life. According to the official reports, the names behind the killer ice axe were those of Stalin and Jacques Mornard, the person who actually committed the killing. But Mornard was in fact Ramón Mercader del Río, a Spanish KGB agent completely convinced that the crime was necessary, and who was thrown into jail and let to rot ever since the victim’s cry of horror was forever engraved on his memory. This documentary uses a series of unpublished material to reconstruct the killer’s motives.
