This is a film about the love stories of urban youth in modern China and their relationship with their parents and grandparents. Ma Hong, a popular music recorder, is in love with a young girl, who is in turn the mistress of a Singaporean businessman. Their liaison runs parallel to the affair of Ma's gran with a Russian musician.
