This film belongs to the expressionist genre, with an organic combination of cinema and painting. It is a parable on the threshold to the XXI century and takes lace at a railway station switchyard, seen by a boy from the window of a railroad car. The game of childish dreams turns into the alarming and hopeful world of a man searching for his way in life. 

BIOGRAPHY

SERGUEI LOUKIANTCHIKOV

Born in Belarus in 1945. He graduated in 1974 from the Moscow Institute of Cinematography and, since then, has made more that 80 documentaries and short films. Outstanding among therse works are Pain (1987), about Afghanistan, named best film of the year in what was then the USSR, or Chernobyl. Phantoms (1996) and Chernobyl. Ashes (1996), winners of several awards.
