Synopsis
Arturo Ripstein has still got endless stamina. As well as The ruination of Men, which he is presenting in the Official Section, he is offering us this free adaptation of the Greek tragedy "Medea" set in a district of México City. The tough dialogues, written as usual by Paz Alicia Garcíadiego, are perfectly balanced by the dark cruel images that Ripstein films with his familiar rigour and austerity.
