Synopsis
Wong Kar-wai has made one of the best love stories in recent years. Set in Hong Kong in 1962, the subtle love affair between Chau and Li-chun immerses us in an ambience of restrained passion. When they find out that their respective spouses are having an affair, their friendship turns into love without either of them daring to show it. A painful, beautiful film.
