Synopsis
Living in a poor Manhattan district where she and her family get by on her meagre factory wage, Jessie sees her saviour in the local hit-man Eddie and begs him to marry her. At their wedding reception, Jessie and Eddie meet Hennessey, whose honest hard work has helped him to build his humble boat business into a big shipbuilding enterprise. Noting Hennessey's interest in Jessie, Eddie comes up with a plan to swindle the man.
