Synopsis
The other kids, and particularly Jerry, constantly torment Danny by bringing up his father's death by hanging. The rivalry between the two boys continues into adulthood and, while fighting over Gilly, for who's favours they both compete, Danny kills Jerry in self defence. Although he declares his love to the girl, Danny's fear that Jerry's body will be found together with the incriminating knife he lost in the woods drives him to follow his father's fate.
