Synopsis
Several years previously, the tenor Sean O'Carolan had renounced his international career when his beloved Mary had been obliged by her aunt to marry a rich man. Now abandonded by her husband to poverty and with two children, the poor woman has nothing better to do but to go home and accept the tyrannical hospitality of her old aunt, a stifling existence causing her to lose the will to live. Deciding to help his friends, Sean comes out of retirement and sets out on a triumphant tour.
