Synopsis
Needing an expensive drug to cure her bedridden mother, Angela's desperate turn to prostitution earns her nothing but a year-long jail sentence. Escaping en route to prison, taking refuge with a circus leads to her meeting with a street artist called Gino who proceeds to paint her beautiful portrait. Their ensuing love affair is short-lived when the police track Angela down and put her under arrest, driving Gino insane at the thought that she isn't as pure and innocent as she seemed to be when they first met.
