The Shining Hour / THE SHINING HOUR
Frank Borzage

Tired of life as a dancer in New York, Olivia gives in to mid-west landowner Henry and agrees to marry him in what is for her part more of a platonic relationship. Judy, wife of her brother-in-law, David, takes a liking to Olivia; the elder sister of the clan however welcomes her with glacial hostility. David's interest for Olivia doesn't go unnoticed by her dire enemy, who does what she can to turn her sister-in-law against the new girl.
