Permiso para pensar
It Happened Yesterday

Documentary on the life and work of Juan Domingo Perón and his political party, the Justicialista, in the Republic of Argentina between the years of 1943 and 1955; i.e., from Peron's coup d'état until the fall of his regime. The movie comprises scenes from the documentaries and cinema news reels produced by the Press and Diffusion Office which picture houses were obliged to screen before the film.
EDUARDO MEILIJ Born in 1950 and a lawyer by profession, this has been, until now, his only contribution to cinema as a director. He speculates on the veracity of Peron's government based on the propaganda of the period, using scenes from films of obligatory screening in the attempt to lash the spectator with the cumulus of fallacies behind the consolidation of a leadership accepted by people as a solution to the crisis.
