Travail d'arabe / The Heat's On
New Directors

Momo, a young southern Frenchman of North African stock, is determined to redeem himself after serving for a minor offense. Hired on a trial basis in a heating installation company, he has a hard time putting up with the racism of his new employers, the Gutti Brothers. Outraged by their incompetence and their unscrupulous practices, Momo finds only one ally willing to help put them out of business: Jacques Chevalier, a lone Don Quixote and local codes officer. Comedy and rebellion, in the present day, in a village in Provence.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1965 in the French region of Var, he has directed several comedy shorts, including La revanche de M. Seguin, before directing in 1999 a first feature film mid-way between documentary and fiction, Les quatre saisons d'Espigoule, reflecting life in a small Provence village inhabited by crazy people and poets. He has also written numerous documentaries related to the history of his region.
