Official Section - Closing Night Film Not in competition

Charley Waite, Boss Spearman, ?Button? and Mose Harrison try to shake their pasts freegrazing their cattle across the vast prairies where the only laws are dictated by nature. Closely linked by the Far West Code (to stand up for justice, to be loyal to those at your side), the cowboys do everything they can to avoid using violence. But their visit to a border town governed by corruption and tyranny changes their lives as they are obliged to take action. Amidst the turmoil, the loner Charley meets the merry, spirited Sue Barlow, who embraces his heart.
Born in Lynnwood (California), he studied Marketing at California State University in Fullerton, although he soon moved into acting. His star potential was obvious in movies like Silverado (1985), The Untouchables (1987), No Way Out (1987), JFK (1991) or Wyatt Earp (1994). His most remarkable work as a producer, director and leading character is Dances with Wolves (1990), with which he garnered 7 Oscars, including those of Best Film and Director.
