Synopsis
Returning to New York from a visit to his native England, renowned conductor Sir Alfred de Carter is greeted at the airport by his beautiful young wife Daphne, with whom he is deeply in love. His brother-in-law, August Henschler, having misunderstood Alfred's request that he watch over Daphne during his absence, had hired Sweeney, a private detective, to follow her, now giving Alfred the report. Having ripped up the document and thrown August from his study, Alfred is astonished to learn that, late one night, while wearing a negligee, Daphne had gone to his secretary Tony's room.
