Synopsis
T.C. Jeffords is a widowed New Mexico rancher about to marry Florence Burnett. His daughter Vance tries to convince him not to do it, but to no avail. Vance attacks her stepmother and when T.C. hangs an old ranchhand, Juan, Vance's only friend, she vows revenge on him. She and her lover Rip Darrow, a mercenary saloon owner whose father was killed by T.C., force Jeffords into bankruptcy. Impressed by his daughter's shrewdness, T.C. accepts his defeat. As the three walk into town to celebrate, Juan's mother shoots T.C. in the back.
