Bend of the River
Anthony Mann

Cole is about to be lynched as a horse thief when Glyn McLyntock, once a border raider from Missouri, saves his life. McLyntock is now working as a guide for a group of farmers on their way to Oregon. Cole joins him and they lead the wagon train. They are attacked and repel a band of Shoshone Indians, then arrive at their destination. Jeremy Baile, the farmers' leader, gets Tom Hendricks to take care of transportation for the group. When Hendricks's promised supplies fail to get to the newly built village, McLyntock and Baile race into Portland to see what went wrong.
