Montevideo, Uruguay. Owning a modest stocking factory seems to be the only thing in Jacobo Köller?s life. Marta is his trusted employee. Their relationship is strictly limited to work and is marked by silence and routine. But their monotony is suddenly threatened by the news of an unexpected visit from Jacobo?s brother, Herman, who lives abroad, and with whom it would seem he has had no contact for years. Whisky starts when Jacobo dares to ask Marta to help him out with the situation. Thus, based on a code somewhere between the absurd and the melancholic, the everyday and the fictional, the movie endeavours to subtly portray how the clumsiness and little miseries of these three very different characters come to the surface while they try to sweep their resentments and bitterness under the carpet.
