Mala leche / Bad Blood

A raw, brutal history nevertheless of sweeping and captivating vitality, taking place in today?s violent Santiago de Chile, and portraying with astonishing realism the scourge of delinquency and drugs. This is the tale of two down-and-outs and their failed debut in a drug transaction, as a result of which, risking their lives, they have to meet the 48-hour deadline of returning the lost cash, leading them to a mad escalation of crime.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Chile in 1968. He studied Film in Mexico at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos. Between 1994 and 1996 he wrote, directed and edited a number of short films in Mexico, outstanding among which are El bosque and Mexico Connections. In 1997, he created Cine FX, a production company dedicated both to advertising and to film projects, having participated, for example, in the co-production which competed in Zabaltegi New Directors Paraíso B (2002), by Nicolás Acuña, and Sexo con amor (2003), by Boris Quercia. To date he has directed over 100 spots for television, music videos and documentaries. Mala leche is his first feature film.
