Synopsis
Director
Pedro, an attractive homosexual dentist with no feeling of responsibility for anyone but himself, offers to take care for two weeks of his 9 year-old nephew, Bernardo, with whom he has had very little previous contact. The boy?s mother is Pedro?s sister Violeta, an outdated hippie who goes off to India. Pedro initially modifies his behaviour, not wanting his nephew to see what he?s really like, nor the type of life he normally leads, finding himself having to rise to a series of unexpected challenges (school, child upbringing, etc.). The relationship between uncle and nephew gradually becomes tighter and more solid, through real love, friendship and affection, until Doña Teresa, Bernardo?s paternal grandmother, appears on the scene, taking advantage of Violeta?s absence to see her grandson and commit emotional blackmail. In her opinion, a homosexual cannot be entrusted with a child?s upbringing.
