Daniel is nearing forty. Laura is fifteen, going on sixteen. They say that he should be a poet, or a cartoonist, or both. He?s just over a long addiction and, home at last, tries to reorganize his life according to a strategy of basically doing exactly what?s expected of a ?normal? person. Everything that happens to him is more or less predictable, because that?s what it?s all about: he has to keep himself clean, pay attention to detail, submerge himself in the real world... and so on and so forth until he has accomplished the ten little achievements on the decalogue drawn up by an insipid national health psychiatrist. And, in the middle of all this, an unexpected event: Laura arrives in town looking for her brother Andrés, Daniel?s neighbour. But the brother isn?t at home and she decides to wait for him while she organizes around Daniel what could be a perfect world.
