La mala educación / Bad Education
Made in Spain

Two kids, Ignacio and Enrique, discover love, cinema and fear in a religious school at the start of the 60s. Father Manolo, the school principal and their literature teacher, is witness to and part of these discoveries. The three characters meet twice again, at the end of the 70s and in the 80s. The re-encounter will mark the life and death of some of them.
Almodóvar won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2000 for Todo sobre mi madre (All About my Mother, 1999) and Oscar for Best Script for Hable con ella (Talk to Her, 2002), confirming other earlier successes, like Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, 1988), ¡Atame! (Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down, 1989), Tacones Lejanos (High Heels, 1991), La flor de mi secreto (Flower of My Secret, 1995) and Carne trémula (Live Flesh, 1997). His filmography also includes Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón (Pepi, Luci, Bom) presented at San Sebastian Festival in 1980, Laberinto de pasiones (Labyrinth of Passions, 1982), Entre tinieblas (Dark Habits, 1983), ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto? (What have I done to deserve this?, 1984) and La ley del deseo (Law of Desire, 1986).
