Foto: SSIFF

Portrait of the life and work of the most prolific and famous film editor in recent Spanish cinema. Pablo del Amo died before the document was finished, although he had already decisively collaborated in its making. Diego Galán includes direct testimonies by the editor, opinions for and against by many of the filmmakers with whom he worked, selected extracts of some of his best films, archive material and fragments of the tributes paid to him.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Tangier (Morocco). Having worked as a film critic with Triunfo and El País, he was director at two different times, 1985-1989 and 1995-2000, of the San Sebastián Film Festival of which he is currently the advisor. He wrote his memories of the Festival (Jack Lemmon nunca cenó aquí) and the anniversary book 50 años de rodaje. He has dealt with the subject of Spanish cinema in several books and in the TVE series Memorias del cine español and Queridos cómicos. In 2004, he made the Epilogue for the collective movie Hay motivo.
