Synopsis
Alcohol and poetry stoke the life of Henry Chinaski, an alcoholic proud of his sort who drinks day and night in Los Angeles bars and has a penchant for participating in street brawls. On one of his binges he meets Wanda, with whom he strikes up a relationship focussing on their shared passion for liquor. Meanwhile, a sophisticated editor discovers his literary talent and wants to publish his poems.
